    Program Description

    Program Overview

The Jones Learning Center (JLC) is a comprehensive support program designed to serve students with documented learning disabilities, Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD), or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who have average or above average intellectual abilities.  Students who benefit from the services of the JLC are able to think critically, but need additional support to demonstrate their knowledge in a traditional academic environment.  Established in 1971 as a fee-based program, the JLC has a current staff-to-student ratio of 1:5.

    Description of Services

Students have individual daily sessions with masters’ level coordinators and have access to skill specialists, peer tutors, notetakers, one-to-one test administration, and assistive technology. In 2012 the Living and Learning Community (LLC) was established, specifically for students with social and independent living skills deficits.  The LLC provides an added residential component for the first year and both individual and group sessions with the coordinator of that program throughout the college career.
